Hook Norton Village & Hook Norton Brewery are joining forces and celebrating 75 years of ‘VE Day’ with a VE Celebration for the whole family and village, taking part across four venues and days. The Gate Hangs High will be celebrating on Sunday 10th May with a period and military vehicle display. This special one-off event is open to all owners of period-correct cars and motorcycles from 1949 or before and military vehicles – no matter how big or small.

We will be rekindling the atmosphere of the period with appropriate music, food and entertainment we will also have children's amusements and a fete. Visitors will pick up a ration book from the Memorial Hall on the Friday and work their way around the village collecting different stamps and getting the last one from us on the Sunday.

Food will be served from 12pm till 6pm and will be mainly based on war time rations, how every you will still be able to enjoy a roast. Vehicle display & fete will run from 12pm till 4pm.

The fete will be in our spacious beer garden and flowing in to our campsite.

The fete will run from 12pm till 3/3.30pm and will be outside, so you will need to bring your own tables, gazebos, and power cables if you want electric. Set up will be from 10am. I will be advertising this locally, on social media and local newspapers as well as Hook Norton Brewery advertising the weekend.

The cost of the stall will be £15.

£10 deposit to be paid on confirmation of pitch and £5 remainder to be paid on the day.

Please complete the attached form and return it to me as soon as possible, explaining what type of products you will be looking to sell. Once I have received your completed form, if your products are what we are looking for then I will confirm via email that you have a pitch. You will then need to pay the deposit to secure your space.
