Description:

South Hiendley Village Fete - 04/07/20.

Our  Village Fete is now in its second year however there has been a Village Gala held on the same day, at the same venue for approximately 30 years. Our new committee are looking to totally refresh, renew and revamp this year with a whole make-over bringing the village feel, the farming surroundings and the old country ways back into popularity ensuring a community pride.

In recent years the previous galas have sometimes generated footfall of around 1500+, both from the village and surrounding areas making any stall holding profitable both on the day and afterwards from advertisement through social media and websites. Advertise away on the day! There will be a small charge of £20 per stall  for small businesses and £40 per stall for larger businesses which will be payable 7 days after your request has been sanctioned by one of our committee. This payment guarantees your place whilst also guaranteeing any monies lost to the Village Fete funds from absence on the day.

All stall holders are asked to use tablecloths for aesthetics and are encouraged to decorate their stalls in the Village Fete theme, i.e. bunting, flowers etc. The Village Fete committee have a limited number of good quality trestle tables, white table cloths and bunting available on a first come first served basis upon payment of your stall. Anyone wishing to erect a gazebo over there stall are asked to submit dimensions on booking of your stall to ensure the sufficient space is allocated on the day.

Any stall holders selling baked goods, unwrapped sweets, preserves, cooked goods etc are required to use aprons, gloves and hold a current food hygiene certificate. Food hygiene certificates can be obtained by completing a multiple-choice exam online at a small cost.

Any stall holder selling alcohol must have at least one member of staff holding a personal license and all alcohol must be sold in a sealed container. Tester samples are allowed. A personal license is not required for sealed alcoholic drinks won on any tombola style stall.

All stall requests can be submitted to our facebook page: The New South Hiendley Village Fete  (see link above) giving a brief description of your stall requirements and your selling wares. We look forward to hearing from some new, exciting stall holders and remember the Village Fete theme, the more you stand out the more you are seen, think village, think rural, think Fete.

THANK YOU.
