On Saturday 6th June 12-6pm, Leigh Road Recreational Ground will yet again burst into colour and come alive with entertainment for all the family. Have you ever avoided holding hands with your partner in public? In the most recent national survey of 108,000 LGBTQ+ people, it has revealed more than two-thirds avoid holding hands in public. Why do we accept this in 2020? These figures prove that society still has a long way to go to treat all walks of life equally and that we need Pride events to let the LGBTQ+ communities know that we are here for them. We stand in solidarity with them and we are here to fight alongside them.
Eastleigh Pride has grown since its first event in September 2018. For 2020 we are bringing you yet another fantastic line up of acts to entertain the crowds, as well as welcoming back stallholders & charities and inviting even more to join us in the celebration. A day to celebrate saying no to conversion therapy, saying no to homophobia and saying yes to everyone accepting who they are! Our mission is to be fully inclusive of all sections of the LGBTQ+ community, to provide a celebration of the LGBTQ+ life and connect the communities together.
At 6pm, the celebrations will be continued to all the town centre venues throwing their very own after party! Eastleigh Pride 2020 is funded by Eastleigh BID.
