Join us - we are celebrating on 5th July 2020 as our highly valued playing field will have been in existence for 50 years. The Field and all its amenities are managed by a charity known as the Playing Field Association (PFA). It is the PFA in conjunction with other village groups who are organising our ‘Field Day of Fun and Celebration’ Money raised from the day will go towards the children’s playground improvements.
The afternoon will take the form of a village fete with music, entertainment, refreshments, a bar and children’s games and activities, provided by village organisations.
We invite stall holders, particularly those selling products, to join us and add colour, interest and shopping opportunities to the event. A pitch 4m x 4m will cost just £15 – but you will need to bring your own gazebo and table. There may be limited opportunity for sellers of refreshments such as ice creams or specialist foods to book a place at the event on a percentage of takings basis.
The fete will start at 1.00pm and end at 4.30. Access to the field for set up is from 11.30.
Previous fetes have been well attended with several hundred people. There is no admission charge but purchase of a numbered programme enters people into a cash prize draw. We attract not only residents, but people from surrounding villages and those associated with the village school and playgroup. There is parking on the field for stall holders and some visitors.
Bookings for stalls or further enquiries may be made by phone or email before 28th June. and will require you to complete a booking form.
