Description:
Huddersfield and District Roundtable are proud to run this annual event, which is the country's original and longest Duck Race for Charity. All proceeds go back into local community projects of various descriptions. We launch around 6,000 - 7,000 plastic ducks into the river Holme and they float around 1/2 mile down to the finish line, with the first duck being worth £1,000 to the corresponding ticket holder, £500 for 2nd place and £250 for 3rd.
Approximately 3,500 - 4,000 people attended this event in 2019 (which was the best event in years), the field is open to traders from 8:30am and 11am for general public. Pitch sizes are generally 3mtr x 3mtr with a £50 non-refundable deposit required before 1st June. The event runs until 4pm with the field usually cleared for 6pm.
