Description:

Wem Combine Harvesters’ popular biannual market for food, drink, crafts and plants, held in the Spring and Autumn with many stallholders returning for each market.

The market runs from 9am to 1pm and has two sites: Wem Town Hall (High St., SY4 5DG), and Wem Youth Club (Leek St., SY4 5EP). All venues are easy reach of each other. Directional signing to each site is erected on market day. Wem’s Dragon and St. George will be offering market information to visitors.

Covered accommodation with tables already set up. Stalls are available at £16 per table or for equivalent space. Tables are approx 5ft x 2ft 6ins.  Chairs provided.

A large car park available in town centre, only a short distance from the markets.

Balanced allocation of stalls takes place to ensure that traders have good sales opportunities.

A raffle and other activities will be taking place to attract and encourage shoppers. A green market is also taking place on Wem's Jubilee Square

A link from the market website to your own website can be provided.

Bookings will be taken subject to fitting the criteria of WCH markets, stallholders must produce or manufacture at least 80% of the goods that they sell and priority is given to (1) the balance of goods for sale in the market, and (2) traders who produce their own goods within an approximate 30-mile radius of Wem. Please note that it is not a first come, first served application process.

This market is organised by WEM COMBINE HARVESTERS [WCH], an ‘umbrella name’ for the community organisations: Wem Civic Society, Wem & District Gardening Club, and Incredible Edible in Wem. It is intended to showcase local food, drink and craft products. [All profits are used in the operation of the groups and community projects in and around Wem.]
